What I can say is that this is very well made, and intelligently designed, the cable is a ribbon as opposed to a flimsy wire, and well suited to its task.
When I plug it into my phone. It plugs in crisply. That may not sound huge, but I've had experience with the cheap Chinese junk and often they don't plug crisply into my phone.
I would recommend the Gomadic brand as a high quality alternative to the cheap stuff out there.
I paid more, but I feel I got my values worth
